The Bluegrove Volunteer Fire Department Antique Tractor Show was held April 7, 2001, at the Bluegrove Community Center. This annual event is held on the first Saturday each year. We hope you enjoy viewing these pages as much as we enjoyed the show. We also hope that you will make plans to join us next year!
Event Highlights
Thirty-six antique tractors were entered in the tractor show and most took part in the Antique Tractor Parade through the middle of town. Twenty-eight children registered for the Pedal Puller's contest. This year's Best of Show was a 1940 Minneapolis-Moline owned and showed by Herman McGehee of Graham. The oldest tractor was a 1918 Fordson N owned and showed by Jack Lindsey of Wichita Falls. The tractor that traveled the farthest was a 1948 Oliver owned and showed by Bill and Ellis Spenser of Keller. Many people enjoyed the brisket luncheon served by the BVFD. Others took advantage of the free blood pressure testing performed by the EMT's |
